Description: I just did a simple exterior test to see the time difference. the first image is Revit at its highest settings it took 38 minutes, the second is experted to fbx imported to max at an average setting and it took 57 seconds.

I think that in Revit many mental ray options are on automatically like mental ray DOF. This causes the slow down in Revit renderings, maybe they will give us more options on next versions. Until then they have bundled Revit-ACAD-ADT-MAX in one product and developed FBX files.

Max and Revit use mental ray, max just seems to utilize system resources much much better
