o just joined revit city today and i am using it for students.autodesk.com and i am having some troubles under design with building forms. it says, 1.start revit. it will open a plan view an empty file. four elevation markers will appear in the view window. ... but i dont know what it means when it says 'open a plan view an empty file' Please help many thanks, happysnack

Hello and welcome to revitcity. What that is telling you is when youy start revit, the defaul view that it starts in is a blank floor plan that has nothing in it besides for elevation markers. You wont actually have to open a view, it does it for you. In Revit, when you hear view, it is talking about what type ofview you are working in such as: a floor plan view, an elevation view, a section view and so on.
