I have a framing plan and I want the framing to show up using just the coarse stick symbols. The framing is below a 6" slab, and the top of slab is at the level so the top of steel is at -6". I want to have my view range set to 2', 1', 0' -2'. When I so, the framing doesn't show up at a coarse detail level, I have to set the bottom to -7" but then my other geometry doesn't display correctly. I am sure I am missing something here, any ideas?

What you could try is setting up your VR to how you want it, then go into visibility graphics and just override the detail level for your framing to be at coarse. That way it will show as stick symbol regardless. keep in mind this is view specific so if you want this look for every view you will have to do it per view. I find this to be a little easier than always messing with the VR. HTH Brett
