When looking at a camera view in plan, you can see the camera's scope/range and also the target...... sometimes you can drag the target around to aim the camera and sometimes the target seems frozen and the only way to adjust the view (in plan) is to drag the camera itself around but it remains fixed on the same target spot??? It seems about 50/50 when i can adjust the target and when its fixed....

hmmm... no problem here adjusting both camera and target, have you tried deleting and placing a new camera?

I mean yeah i could put in a new camera...... but we set up these cameras and if we want to aim them 5 feet to the left of where it is at, we dont want to have to delete it and put in a new camera.... like i said, half the time it works fine, i was just wondering if any one else has the same problem i have and knew what the problem was

I've had the same problem. Sometimes Revit lets me drag the camera target, sometimes not so much. I have found, however, that if you select the camera target and type "mv" (or click on the "move" button) it should then let you move the target even when it seems otherwise frozen in place.

I have also had the same problem, with the target being immovable . It seems to select ok and the cursor changes to the drag image, but nothing happens. Thanks for the advice re: using the mv command. This appears to me to be a bug.

Ah I have discovered it it not a bug...just the result of me being an unfamiliar (ie: novice) user...no surprise there... ;-) When selecting the target, be sure you are not selecting the drag handle for the field of view. If these are superimposed it is easy to select the wrong one, but if this happens ypu can cycle between them with <tab>.

I had this problem too. SOLUTION!!! Like in selecting an alternative object behind another... hit tab and then click. What is is selecting is another handle... which is above the target handle if the camera is pointed down at all.
