Is there any way to make a hatch/fill pattern halftone?

I achieved this by simply turning the fill pattern to Gray color and using Raster style printing. The printer recognized the gray color as halftone and printed accordingly. I am not sure of any other way to do this.

Where can I control the color of the hatch if I do it that way?

Edit the filled region and click on Region Properties on the left pane. Go to Edit/Duplicate and you will see a color parameter. Click on the button and select the gray color.

I just thought of another way to halftone a region. Right click on the region and select Override Graphics in View-->By Element. In the next dialog box you can checkmark the "Halftone" box and it will grayscale it. You can do this for any element in RAC2008

I'm actually doing this to a brick hatch pattern on a wall.  The grayscale option works because I only want the hatch pattern halftoned, but if I use the override graphics option then the whole wall becomes halftone which is unacceptable.  Thanks for the help.
