When changing the color of the wall material, the ceiling automatically changes to that color as well??? revit arch 2008 Any suggestions? K

Are you using the same material definition for both the ceiling and the walls? If so duplicate the material and apply the new material to one or the other. Also if you have used Join Geometry the material may be automatically applied to both objects.

The material definitions were the same. Thanks for the info! I wanted to say, this is a really great website and the tech forum has two thumbs up in my opinion. I haven't seen any program with such great support that revit has online. Keep on Reviting! Kristina
