Dear all, i am hopeing you can help with a problem i have; i have a circular concrete core and i need to place a door opening in the wall; the opening has to be parallel not radial. how can i control the sides of the opening. i have posted a pdf for a better explaination. many thanks

You could use a "door" family that has no geometry drawn on it. Kind of like a cased opening. The opening lines will be straight that way. You could also split your arched wall and trim the corners, then draw another arched wall in the opening with the base offset set at the height of the opening. This is how I typically draw headers.
