Hi, well i'm getting close to wrapping up some prelims for a design panel. my problem now is getting revit to dimension  building height. in acad we simply dimensioned to the peak and  top of the fascia, then from the mid point of the dimension line down to grade. i tried to do this in revit, and had to draw some ref lines, and then figure out the middle of the roof, but i couldn't get revit to dimension to the mid point of the roof or the dimension. anyway i worked around it, and have it temporarily solved, but i was wondering if there is an easier way?

thanks

here's a pic of what i want it to do. my 'workaround' if you will

I do this by drawing a reference plane at about the center of the roof.  I then add a dimenension from the ridge, to the ref plane, to the eave and toggle the equality option.  This locates the ref plane at the midpoint.  I then add the dimension from grade to the ref plane.  You can delete the EQ dimensions and maintain the constraint if desired and then add the dimension from peak to eave, if that is the look you are trying to get.  HTH.
