Does anyone know how to change the carpet color and wall colors? thanks

Those items are controlled by the Materials in Revit. You can set up your own custom materials by going to... Settings-->Materials. To create a new material click on an existing Material and click Duplicate. You can then rename and attach your custom images or use an Accurender Material. To apply the material to walls and floor you will need to select the item and go to the element properties of that item. You can then click Edit/New in the dialog box and go to the Structure button. In the structure properties box there is a column for Material where you can add your custom material.
