Is there a way to make an opening of the dormer in the main roof of this building? I tried the tutorials, but no luck. Is it becaues the roof foot is bent or can't Revit make an opening in a multi surface roof?

You can create an opening for a dormer using the Opening tool in a project. Start with your building model that already has a dormer created. Open a plan view in which you can clearly see the dormer roof and the walls attached to it. If the roof is extruded, open an elevation view. On the Modelling tab of the Design Bar or on the Modelling menu, click Opening. In the dialog box, select Pick a roof to be cut by a dormer opening and click OK. Highlight the main roof on your building model and click. Watch the Status Bar to be sure you are highlighting the main roof. Do not highlight the dormer roof. Autodesk Revit opens into Sketch Mode. You are going to pick the boundaries that compose the dormer opening. Notice that the Pick command is already active. Place the cursor into the drawing area. You notice that valid boundaries highlight. Valid boundaries are a joined roof or its bottom face, a side face of a wall, a bottom face of a floor, an edge of roof to be cut, or a model line on the face of the roof to be cut. In this example, side faces of walls and joined faces of the roof were selected. Note that you do not have the trim the sketch lines to have a valid boundary. Click Finish Boundary. When you finish the opening of the dormer, you may want to create a section view through it to see how it makes the cuts in the main roof. Autodesk Revit makes both vertical and horizontal cuts in the roof. Dormer opening in a 3D view This was out of the revit help tool. Hope this helps
