Does anyone know why, when I have a linked .dwg that when I go back to open the file it is corrupt?  I think it might have to do with having a hatch inthe imported .dwg.   Anyone know why this would be?  Any known fixes to this problem.

Thanks,

Lorne

Dunno if this helps or not but I used to have a lot of problems with associative hatching in AutoCAD (2004) files. If you have a linked file like this, maybe exploding and cleaning up the hatching would help. I have also had some good results with cutting/pasting the problem file into a new, fresh Cad file.

It is not just one cad file.  It's any file with a Hatch.  Luckily I just use the CAD files as guides to make the model.  So we don't need the hatches.

As for using AutoCAD 2004.  We're using 2008 and still have the same issues.  Also was happening with 2007.

Anyone know why or how to avoid this?  Cuz we tend to forget to delete the Hatches before imported to REVIT...then it bites us in the you know what next time we open the file.
