Firstly thankyou to all the active people in these forums, im very new to Revit and stuggling to get my head around it and youve all been helpful thus far.

Im tearing my hair out with showing window sills on brick veneer walls. I have standard window family that is pretty good the only thing that i need to change is getting it to show a window sill for brick veneer walls. I have placed a sweep to create the sill but i cant seem cut a void back into the basic wall so that the sill carries through to the frame as it should. I would really appreciate if some could post some step by step instructions. 

 I have attached my standard family if that helps.

i opened your file and took a look. i am not sure if this solution is what your looking for but creating a viod form won't work. you need to edit the opening cut of the window itself.

 i was able to get this to work by first deleting the opening that was there and then adding a new opening, constraining it 4" or so below the bottom reference plane.
