Is it possible to make a surface pattern on the Topographic surface because everytime i try to make any, this warning keep appeared "Topographical surfaces do not support surface patterns. The surface pattern associated with this material will not be displayed on the indicated surface"

If t won't display on the "indicated surface", will it be appeared when I print it out.?????????
