I am doing a project in Revit 2008 that requires a complete material list. The project is a Lab. that has numerous componant parts of various sizes. Can Revit create a schedule that would list all the parts, show quantity, length, width and thickness and also sort and group the various list? Thanks in advance.

You can create a multicategory Material Takeoff. This will create a list of all materials assigned to objects in the project. You can then arrange the schedule as desired with the schedule properties. You can show various different parameters of the materials on the schedule also.

Thanks for the reply. I have been going over the tutorials and can't quite grasp the material list/schedules concept. Do you know of any tutorials available that would help? Thanks

I sure don't. I wish I had a good tutorial on scheduling. I have had to just work my way through it by trial and error. I haven't quite gotten the entire concept of scheduling yet, but the more I use it the better I understand. I wish I could help more, but that is about all I know. If you do find a schedule tutorial, let us know.
