I was curious to the possibility of building a composite roof family which would include z-girts which could be at 'X' spacing w/ insulation inbetween. Yes, you can give a thickness in the roof family to that z-girt layer, but that would only show up when a section would be cut running parrallel to them. If you were to cut perpendicular to that previously mentioned section you would not see the crossection of those z-girts. Yes I do understand you could model them separately outside of the roof family, but it would just make more sense if you could include them and give them automatic spacing. In addtion to that, is it possible in revit to model the standing seams inside of the roof family instead of changing the roof into sloped glazing and using mullions to represent the standing seams? I appreciate any advise. Thanks, ShyT
