hi all,

if i link a revit file in a model,

i do have to override for all views individually some settings [for example: to hide all annotations], what is the best way so that i do not have to set this for each view "custom"!

so inserting a revit model with an graphical override "for all views" is that possible?

I don't know about automating that particular task and as far as I know, you cannot graphically override a revit model upon import. My suggestion is to either set up a view template for those views or to link an autocad reference with only the layers you want visible.

Someone else might have a better answer though.

stange though,

imagine, I insert open stairs in a plan as a revit link, that means that in all sections and elevations i manually have to put  a visual override to for example annotations etc!

even worse, i have an urban site where I insert individual appartments as revit links!, i copy those 25 times, when i generate one section i see hunderds of levels [because each inserted revit link shows its own levels] , now i have to customize in the revit links menu all links individually to set for example the levels off! I cannot selectmultiple links to make an graphical override!!

very time consuming,

no alternatives?

Yes, it can be time consuming at first but once you set up an elevation view templete you can apply that to your other remaining elevations at the same time.

As far as linking other modeling elements (your stairs), I am not sure. My preference isn't to link small items like that into the main model.
