How is the easiest way to add vertical trimboards to the corners of a building?

I'd say the easiest way is to make an external trimboard family and then load it into your project. Either make a hosted family with the exact trim profile you want, or download the generic corner board family here on revitcity. Much easier to use a family than to create each one in place. Best of luck.

I use a column family (best if you unchedk 'automatically join' in the family types and parameters) that way I can set a lower and upper reference level. Works just fine.

Can you create it as a wall hosted family or is that only horizontal?
