I find that structural beam systems members show in plan view even when outside of view range.

Any thoughts on how to fix this apart from manually hiding all member instances in the beam system.

Cheers

Stefan

I can;t duplicate this.  Can you give a little more detailed explanation?  or you may wish to just post a reduced file (just walls and beam system).  I'll help if I can.

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply.

If you open the attached file (Revit Arch 200Shadey and go to the Lower Floor plan.

You will see the beams in the beam system for the roof rafters show even though beam systems are turned off and the view range is lower than the beam level.

I still want to show beams in this view as certain in wall beams will need to bew visible.

 Cheers for your help

 Stefan

You can only post 2mb files. Which isnt much for Revit. You really have to clean up the file (purge out all unudes families, sheets, etc) in order to get a project down to that size. Otherwise you can try posting individual families, screen shots, etc. AUGI will allow a 5 mb file but other than that you would have to do email or .ftp.

The file I tried to upload earlier was under 1Mb so don't know what the problem is.

Anyhow - I've attached a smaller one.

Cheers

Still not getting anything attached. I belive that you need to wait for the file to show up in the blue box prior to posting your reply, otherwise it gets lost on the upload. This may take a while if you are using cable, dial up etc.
