is there any way to define different default sill height for different family types inside a window family? While I am able to change other parameters like width and height I seem to not be able to change that...
Any help is extremely appreciated.

There is a default sill height parameter inside all window families, it is usually listed at the bottom under other category (depending what version you are using).
