So I'm having trouble getting Detail lines and Components to show up in my level 1 plan view. I go to insert the Component or Detail line in the "level 1 plan view" but it doesn't show up... but when I go to the the Callout of that area the Component or Detail line is there. I need these Components and Detail lines to show up in both the Callout and the Level 1 Plan. Any info on how to fix this would be great, thanks!

Could be your visibility graphics for those detail items are turned off. You can type "VV" and check that the Detail Items catagory box is checked or if you have the most recent version of revit you can just click on the little light bulb icon in the lower left hand corner of your screen. This lets you see all the hidden items in your view.

check to see if the lines, components, etc. are hidden at scales corser than... This typically happens to elevation tags. If you draw them in the floor plan that is scaled to 1/8" then the callouts ddefault to hide at scales crser than 1/8". If this isnt the case try reinstalling Revit. A lot of people have odd issues that are caused by a bad install.

I got the Detail lines to show up but I'm still not getting the Components to show up on the floor plan and the callout. I checked the Components View Properties and messed around with those but still nothing...

Try NOT cropping the view to see if for some reason the components have been misplaced or moved outside of the area that you think they are in. Another problem may be that the components are in the background.

I finally got the plan to show most of the components by messing with the view range for an hour... thanks for the help!
