I am looking for a way to reduce the effort and time required for documenting as-builts. I work alone which makes it difficult to measure, sketch and then draft information into Revit. In my reasearch for a solution, I found a Bluetooth enabled laser measuring tool which can transfer measured values to my Laptop as a graphic file (.bmp) with the recorded data stored as a MS Excel file. This .bmp file can be imported into a Revit view as an image file but must be used as a static 2D underlay. Question: Does anyone know of an affordable (+/- $1,000) laser measuring device which can create and transmit 3D files wirelessly to a laptop which can be used in Revit?
