I'm trying to cut a mass with a void extrusion, but i keep getting a warning saying "Can't keep elements joined." it happens when finishing the sketch or using the cut geometry tool. If i try to finish the mass i get another warning "This Mass has no solid geometry for its Void Forms to cut. They must be deleted, or solid geometry added and cut."

not sure how you are doing it but first create your mass geometry as a solid, than create the void to cut out. this should work

I created the solid extrusion first, then cut it with one void on the south view. Its the second void which is giving me problem, I drew the sketch on the west view, and keep getting the error messages.

are you sure that the void is actually cutting through the mass? when you finish your solid part, do not finish the sketch, stay in the sketch and draw your void.

Yeah it was cutting through, if i moved it off my solid I wouldn't get the message. I reaized after i could copy and then revolve my first void and that worked out for me. I tried your way after and it worked to. I'm just new with revit, really liking it, trying to figure it out. Thanks for the help.
