I am working on a project with 2 other people in Revit 2008. We are using a central file and uploading our work from our workstations. My local file shows an architxt font and the 2 other people show an arial font in their files. What has happened here and how can I fix it on my machine? I cannot print the drawings because they print with the wrong font . . . .

thanks so much for any help you can give!

this is wierd but you might :

1. don't have the arial font(??)

2. it is corrupted somehow.

this is the default font for Revit. try reinstalling the font, open the central and save over your local again...

let me know if this fixes it...

Hey there, thank you for your help. I usually save a new local file once a week, and this doesn't correct the problem. When I open the central file I still see the font as Architxt, when the other two users see it as Arial. I can open the room tag family on my machine and manually change the font back to arial and save it and this seems to work for each family I am able to modify. However some of the items we are using: levels, structural grid bubble, etc. I am not able to edit the font for and are still showing as the wrong font. So I do still have the Arial font on my machine, it seems as if there is some sort of setting within my revit program that is now set to the wrong font. My other revit projects are also showing the wrong font.

thanks so much!

Ok we figured it out! The other two users did not have the architxt font installed on their machines. So they were both seeing the font as Arial because it defaulted to that. This was confusing because that is what they wanted to use and so everyone thought the problem was my machine. We will need to recreate all of our families using the Arial font.
