(this is not a thread about swinging and picking up swingers...)  i am curious why i can't draw "symbolic lines" on an in-place family...the symbolic line tool is not active when i open an in-place family for editing, and i want to add lines to show elevation swings on the doors...anyone know why this happens and how i can add symbol lines to the doors?

additional info---this is for a set of lockers we are putting in for a high school performing arts center...
