I know that you can create a light fixture by making a new family, but I am not exactly sure how to do this.  I was hoping someone could help me out by making it a little easier.

I have these curved "wave" shaped truses that run throughout my building.  My desire is to place small lights on them to light the interior.  Most likely small downlights of some sort.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are many ways you can do this, but every one of them are going to require careful offsetting since you want to "Host" them on a structural element and there is no Lighting Fixture Strutural Based.rft.  Create your lighting fixture and then you'll need to offset them to appear as though they are attached to the trusses.  I was goign to send you a light fixture to try, but I do not have access to my library at the moment.
