Is it possible to have a 'sim' detail on a different sheet from the orignal reference, while maintaining the automatic update of the references?

When you are making the new callout, check the "reference other view" and then it will let you pick the view that you want it to reference to. HTH

If you have Revit Arch 08:- Right click on the view in question, Duplicate View > Duplicate as Dependent

Philty, if you are asking whether it is "possible to have 'sim' detail" MARKER that reference the same detail, then JHanby is correct. If you want to have a detail actually appear on multiple sheets (in the case of Supplementals for instance), then I have not found a way. I generally Duplicate with Detailing and rename it with something on the end ("SUPP" in the case of supplementals). IDN101, I have never been able to Duplicate as Dependent any Drafting View or Detail View. Is this a setting somewhere...maybe a Revit quirk I'm not aware of? I would love to have this ability.
