hi all

I'am using Revit 2008.

When I put my first revision cloud on the sheet and tag it -rev 1(by sheet) it placed the note in the revision table on my title block, so it all looks fine.

All next revision tags come with right revision number -rev2 & rev 3 etc ( each revision is properly recorded under settings-revisions with date etc), but  next revision cloud make  text dissapear from rev. table.

What do I do wrong?

regards

In pulldown "settings/revisions" you have to clik the "issued" check box before you go on to the new revision.  Did you do that?  Also there is a "By Project" or "by sheet" choice.  use by project if you want a new revision to have a new number regardless if the last revision is on this sheet or not.

steve,

i went settings/revisions "by project" wrote my first rev., drew the cloud , tagged it -the rev. note appeared in the title block, then i went settings/revisions "by project" - clicked issued check box for the first rev. clicked apply, then wrote another revision, placed another cloud - and then my first rev. note disappeared from title block

I would also need revisions by sheet (not by project) for other project - that doesn't work either

sorry to be such a pest, but I need to resolve it

cheers Anna

don't know.  You could try cliking on the title block, clik on edit family then you'll see the revision schedule, clik on it, right clik and "edit schedule", the right clik and choose veiw properties and see if it is sorted by something other than revision #.  Also try selecting or unselecting "itemize every instance" under "sorting/grouping? tab so it isn't summarizing some other way.  I leave it un checked

2 last thoughts:  are you placing the clouds on the sheet or in the view (floor plan, sections etc?)

Are you sure you have all the same titlesheet files used on all the drawintgs?  we have similar looking title blocks that are actually different files and would have separate revision schedules.
