We are a Mechanical and Electrical Firm out of Omaha, NE. We are getting ready to make the switch to REVIT. We will start our first training classes in December. Is there anything we should know before we begin training?

This seems like a great site and I hope to be able to contribute.

download the software, it will run for 30 days in full version mode. try and get thru some of the basic stuff on your own, so that when training starts you can ask better questions that will allow you reduce time spend on thing that are very basic like what is the Design Bar?.  Good Luck with the switch.

We have the software already and we are playing with it...we have a background of a project from the Architect...just not sure how to start. Do we open the file and start working, or do we need to link to the file and then start? What about worksets? Is there a good tutorial about how to start a project, from the electrical side, correctly? I think we a could figure alot out using some ACAD tutorials, just need some help getting started the correct way. Thanks.
