I heard about this website from CAD-1, and am loving it!!

Here we do about everything, We are split up into different groups, Architectural, Duct, Piping, and Plumbing, The reason we have the Architectural team is to build everything in 3D so that we can run collision reports with all the trades, so that what is sent out to the field is more accurate. We have been looking at getting revit, and I actually have 3 trial versions of all 3, but I dont know which one we should get.

I need something that will allow us to build the whole building in 3D, walls, structure, and RCP's, and can be exported easily to autocad by levels so the rest of the team can use the model for coordiantion.  I was leaning towards MEP but the structural tools there dont seem to be that great, now im thinking I should just get architecture, for the architectural team and when the rest of the team goes to revit they can get MEP. Any suggestions?

i think the Revit BIM series of programs are meant to serve there own area of the AEC picture.

the Architecture Team should get Revit Architecture

the Structure Team should get Revit Structure

the MEP team should get Revit MEP

i sure you will get plenty more replies that will help you make a decision.

Thanks the only problem with that is that our architectural team does everything as in structure architectural and RCP's,
