Hello, I am attempting to design a large motoryacht for my design class. I have designed the hull in a program called Delftship, and i exported it in a .dxf format. I want to design the interior around the hull in Revit, and i can upload the polymesh .dxf surface into Revit. However, I cannot use wall by face to create a "hull" on this surface. I am only a junior in high school and i don't know much about CAD formats.

ANY information you can give me will be SO much appreciated.

Thank you,

 Will

Hi,

Can you tell us more about what happens when you try to use Wall By Face? What messages do you get from Revit?

hi, thank you guys for your reply. santiago? i have no idea what youre talking about...

anyway when i have the mesh in 3d format, the wall by face will work on a few of the individual faces on the mesh, but only a few. Its confusing, i am uploading the .dxf format so you can see it for yourself. By the way, I am using Revit Architecture 2008.
