I added a shared parameter to my titleblock for drawing disciple and also added it to my project. Now when I try to schedule out the parameter I cannot edit it. The column shows up in the schedule but I cant click in it or modify it. Any ideas?

Is the parameter an instance or type?

It is a shared parameter. I used a label (maybe the wrong way to do this but I thought that was the only or at least best way to get it scheduled). The only options I have for label parameters are to use shared paramenters and there is no instance/ type option. Basically what I need to do is to get the sheets set up in the correct order. I have G (title), A (architectural), and I (interiors) sheets. I figured the best way to do this is with a field in my drawing list. Let me know if there is a better or different way of going about this. Thanks

I used the term instance kind of loosly so 'll try to explain.... I set up various parameters for my sheets like drawing type, % complete and comments that never appear in the sheet title and that works very well. I also set up shared parameters that are in my drawing sheet family. These are different. (Why? - doesn't make sense to me!) You can create "shared parameters" using file - shared parameters - .... This is where I typically create ia parameter that will be used as an nstance (or type) in families like information that is placed on drawing sheets. Or special tag numbers for various families. On a drawing sheet, you might assign one of these to a label.... like a second sheet description line. You can also create shared and non-shared parameters using the pulldown - settings - project parameters ... And choose project or shared. Here is where I think you want to create the information you want. It needs to be shared and assigned to sheets. You will not use this though to build your sheet family. It will be a parameter assigned to sheets and will appear in schedules but NOT on the sheet. If you have built a parameter like this, then don't assign it to a label in your sheet family. This is all really confusing and hard to explain. I hope I've helped a little. Good luck.

Select settings - project parameters - add - choose instance (not type) drawing sheets will appear in list on right. If you set this as a project - not shared, it can be in your schedules.

Thanks, got it. I kept looking for "sheets" not "drawing sheets."
