RAC 2008 - I have created a topo base and borke into subregions for the walkways around the building (college campus).  Since it as existing and we will do some cut and fill for an elevator, I made it existing.  But in both the 3D display model and the render scene, it is all grey.  When I change it to new construction, it renders and appears in display model as the grass, concrete, & asphalt appropriately.  I would leave it all as new, except that I need to do some cut and fill to it.  Any ideas?

Try making a new Phase Filter.  Look in the Setting drop-down for Phases..., then go to the Phase Filter tab.  You might call it Rendering View, or whatever you think is apropriate.  Then set each phase to "By Category".  Then in the 3D Camera view, make sure to change the Phase Filter to your new Filter (ie. Rendering View).  This should show everything as normal.  If you have Future Phases that you don't want to show up, then you are going to set them to "Not Displayed" in your new Phase Filter.

Let me know if this fixes your wagon.

Thanks.  Someone sent me a really easy fix - go into View Properties and Change it to "Show Complete" instead of "Show All" and you get all the proper colors in both the model and rendered views.  I appreicate the feedback - it will help me understand phasing next as this is all baptism by fire.
