I'm a new Revit user, and I hope somebody can help me with this problem. I have revit building 9. i download the hatch pattern from the download section from this website, but when i tried to import it to my revit it giving me this error message "no model type pattern find". Is it because of the version compatibility? Please help me.

The pattern file you are trying to attach is made up of only "Drafting" patterns. When you are creating a pattern you have to define if it is "Model" type or "Drafting" type. You can see the pattern if you create a drafting pattern. If you need it to be a model pattern you will need to add the syntax to the .pat file or find a .pat that is set up to be a model pattern.

Just in case you need to know, What is the syntax??, ;%TYPE=MODEL%  for the first or second line works
