I am new to using Revit Arch 2008 and working on putting lights in my first project. The ones in my acoustic ceiling came out fine, no problems, however, I have some specialized lights and do not know how to best represent them. In the warehouse part of my building, I have large "open, high bay lighting" - I know you have seen them- the large diameter (up to 2 feet or more sometimes), hanging upside down, high wattage sodium or metal halide light fixtures. You know, for warehouses.... Anyway, the Autodesk online library is embarassingly limited in my opinion, there is nothing even remotely like this for me to download and pop into my project. I have also come up blank searching this website and others. My question is; for a fixture like the one above, are there libraries online that contain such things, or do I have to somehow create my own custom fixture? If you confirm the second part of my question to be the case, then that leads me into another question, can you direct me to any good literature on how to create your own light fixtures? Thanks in advance for the feedback - I am new to revit and still figuring out the capabilities/limitations/etc.
