for some reason my, i can not get the callouts to show up. everything is on in the annotation catagory--i can't find any reason why they would not appear. i have never had this happen before. but, i go to place a callout (in any view--plans, section, elevations) and..nothing. then i get a message that the (callouts are not visible in this view...check parameters, plan regions...etc.)..well, i have checked all of those things and everything looks fine. i can't find a reason for the callouts not to show up. has anyone else had this problem? how do i fix it? i am using revit 2008. thanks for any help!

what Build are you using? They came out with a fix for this in Build 20070607_1700 I believe. check this link out http://revit.downloads.autodesk.com/download/2008/RAC2008_SP2_List.pdf

Change your scale to a larger one and see if they rea-appear. If they do, then you have to change the setting for hiding the callout in the smaller scales.

CHECK VISIBILITY/GRAPHICS SETTINGS IN THE ANNOTATION TAB (SEE THAT CALLOUTS IS CHECKED). OR YOU MIGHT HAVE HIDDEN THE WHOLE CATEGORY IN THAT VIEW, CLICK THE LIGHTBULB NEXT TO THE HORIZONTAL SLIDER IN THE BOTTOM OF YOUR WINDOW (NEXT TO THE SUNGLASS BUTTON). THAT SHOWS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE HIDDEN IN THAT VIEW. HOPE IT HELPS

I had a similar problem. The callouts weren't visible in the one level view, but in all the others they appeared fine. I got the same messages, checked the visibility graphics, lightbulb, etc and it was as simple as cicking the crop view tab.
