Hi all.... First post!

Ok then here we go.

I've got a bog standard 102 brick/75 Cavity/100 Block cavity wall. My column web sits in between the cavity with the other web siting outside the wall (see attached). What I want to do is, brick out the column so the 100 block continues unaltered yet the 102 brick cases out the whole column.

I tried Altering a column family. but I'm getting what appears in the second detail. HELP!!!!! its doing my head in.

First a bit of background.  There are two types of columns in Revit, Structural which are found on the Structural menu and then Architectural which are found on the basics and Modeling tabs.  The architectural columns are simply called 'columns' are are really shapes which are meant to take the lyaers in your wall that are set to 'wrap' and move them around the shape where the shape touches those layers of the wall..
Simply duplicate the column shape and change its size so it only takes the portion of the wall you want to wrap around the shape leaving hte rest of the wall untouched.
