Is it possible to control the visibility or transparency of a glass element? i have a window with a grille on the exterior surface that does not show thru on the interior view (in a hidden line elevation)

i was hoping to assign a parameter to the glass that would make it not visible in certain views, perhaps as a toggle or something?

thanks....

Open the family and select the glass element. You should see a Visibility button show up in the design bar above the drawing screen. Click this button and uncheck the respective views you don't want to show the glass in(i.e. Left/Right, Front/Back)

You could also place some symbolic lines in elevation views to show where the grid is. Symbolic lines only show in view parallel to the view they were created in.

thanks for the advice. i did try turning the visibility for the glass off in elevation, but for some reason it still shows up,

so i guess I've either missed a global setting that i dont know of, or the model itself has a problem. The glass does render transparent  in a shaded view though.

i decided to just make two families of the same window - one has glass, and one does not. this way i still get the benefits of having the grille adjust as the window does, and the grille shows up in any view.  should i need to render a perspective view, i can just 'swap out' the families.not the best, but it'll do for now...
