I have built a model of a three story building and have input all of my levels based off the notion that level 1 finish floor is set at 0 meters, level 2 finish floor is set at 3.048 meters, and so on...

I now find out that in reality, the level 1 finish floor is to be set at 100.75 meters of elevation, and then level 2 finish floor will be 3.048 meters above that and so on.  How can I safely globally change my original level elevations without risking goofing the whole model up?

My guess is that I just want to go to any of the elevation views, draw a reference line at 100.75, select all, move all from origin point 0 up to 100.75.  Will this work and automatically update my levels with the new elevations?

I am using Revit Architecture 2008 latest build.

I tried my suggestion in the originial question, and as I thought  I could not move everything vertically in elevation view, only horizontally.

So any alternate suggestions would be welcomed.  Thanks.

(post disclaimer)

i compiled this answer from two previous post. one by mr. spot and one by tyar74 and in no way claim credit

(remember search twice, post once)

Does the entire project need to move or just that one level? If its the entire project just use the relocate project tool in the "tools" drop down.

TOOLS>PROJECT POSITION/ORIENTATION>RELOCATE THIS PROJECT Select a base point in a section or elevation view and move the project up as required. Once you select the base point, you can just type in the amount you want it to move up or down.

I just tried Tools > Relocate the project, and it appeared to work and move everything up.

However, the elevation number labels on the level indicators for each level did not update.  I was hoping that level 1's label of 0 would now read 100.75 meters, and all the other elevation labels would update themselves relative to the new relocated project.

How can I take it one step further and correct the each level's elevation labels?

In an elevation view dimension all the levels and then lock them all -lock the padlock on the side of each dimension. Now when you change the value of one level, all the others will change accordingly.

Go to elevation and select one of the level markers. Go to properties-->edit/new and change the elevation base to "Shared"

After relocating a project, I'm finding that topo surface values do not respond accordingly. The top surface moves up with the project as specified, but the values of the individual points within the surface did not change at all. Furthermore, if I go to add a new surface at the new location of the project, it is not in the correct plane of the project. What am I missing?
