Why does Room/Area in existing phase get deleted the moment you demolish the walls? i want to show both Room / Area in Existing and New Construction. my view phase are set correctly and my Elemental phase are set to the right phase.

because once you demolish a wall revit doesn't count it, it actually is the way i belive it should work, so when you demolish an internal wall revit now counts the 2 rooms as 1. the work around for the way you want it to work is place a wall separation line along the wall before you demolish it.

I tried this method with the seperation lines. What happens with that is the rooms now showing up in demo plan and in the new plan. What i need to do is for the existing room to show up in demo plan and the new room to show up in new plan without it causing conflict with each other. I'm gonna check in 9.1 Revit because i'm sure it worked then and don't know why it is not working. Thanks, moreno2000

i think your problem may be that you are not in the right phsae when you place in your room. go to view properties and under phasing going to phase and set the phase to existing before you use the room tool
