Are parameters from a nested family editable in the project or just in the host family?

I know their mark numbers are so I would assume any instance base parameter might be.

You can link the parameters from the nested family into the host family to make them editable in the projects.

Thats what I thought. So what am I doing wrong? I took a projector family and a screen family and merged them together, but I no longer have access to the screen's parameters. Does anybody have a good system for naming families?

To link parameters from a nested family to the host family you will need to do the following. 1. Open the host family with the nested inserted. 2. Click on the nested family and go to properties 3. Click Edit/New 4. Click the little button at the far right of the parameter line you want to change 5. Select parameter out of list or click add parameter and recereate the parameter. When the parameter is linked there will be an (=) sign on the little button.
