Hi, My firm is on revit2008 and i've created a component (a sun louver) that I want visible as it would look in 3D (solid lines) on the Roof Plan but only want symbolic dashed lines (just an outline) visible on floor plans and rcp's. Is this possible? I can click on elements in the family but i can only seem to adjust visibility in all plans/rcps not specific ones... Thanks!

When you create the family, you can change the visability of 3d elements so they don't appear in plan, then add symbollic lines that only appear in plan .... etc for elevations - sections.
