I would like to be able to save legends out of a project and place them in a new project. My current method it to create a view and copy and paste into a view that I can save out then create a legend and then place that in the new project.

Legends are the only thing I know where you can have one view with all your info and can place that on multiple drawings. I am using it for curtainwall criteria, reflected ceiling plan legends and casework criteria legends.

Regarding legends, I would like to be able to make a drawing sheet legend that includes sheets thet do *not* exist in the Revit project; I have consultant's drawings to include, and find myself reverting to ACAD to do our cover sheet.  Would also be helpful in making the matrix of abbreviations, applicable codes, or even for listing the consultants on the cover sheet!  Can't Revit at least actively link a spreadsheet into it if it can't have the basic editor included in the software?  Pleeez?

I agree with the previous comment. I have a code analysis sheet that I need to insert into my drawings. Right now it is in excel and I do a convoluted method of saving it as a PDF taking it into Photoshop creating a hi res jpeg and inserting it into Revit. What a stupid method.

I don't have to do this in AutoCAD.

I need a tool in revit that can give me ALL the features of excel including format that I can place in Revit. I realy don't care that it is a dumb element. If nothing else the ability to create an OLE object
