I am having a problem opening a Revit file sent to me by an architect. When I attempt to open the file I get an error that reads: "An unknown error occured while accessing 'File Path\File_name.rvt.'" My office uses Structure 2008. I first got the error when the architect was using an older version of Building. When they upgraded to Building 2008, their file opened fine. The last time they sent the file I was getting the same error I noted above. Any ideas as to what the issue is? Or whose end the problem is originating on?

Did you try checking the "DETATCH FROM CENTRAL" option before opening it. Although, you should be linking to your file, not opening the arch's file anyway, this might be another work around

I did "Detach from Central" and got the same error. I also get the same error when I attempt to link the arch file into my structural file. I'm thinking this is an issue on the architects end. I was hoping that maybe someone else had seen this occur before.
