now i know you can rotate surface patterns. I was wanting to create a brick header in the window family but once i give the pattern in the family i can't rotate it when loaded into the project. Does anyone have a vertical brick patern??

For a soldier course just create a surf. pattern using the parallel lines in the fill pattern dialog, selct the spacing you need. ie 2.667" with a rotation of 90, If you have multiple, check the box for cross hatch and set the horiz/ to 8"
