Revit 8.1

Hi,

I was wondering is there a way to isolate family type insteads of family category...

Doing phasing with curtain wall and brick wall & alum composite panel all on sometime is really confusing. Isolate wall type would indeed do the tricks insteads of hide off objects one by one

Thanks

Hi, in 8.1 i believe that you can't isolate directly a family type from the view properties but you can always select the family  type you're interested in from the project browser (there's a list of all the family types you're using in your project an even more!), then you can select all the istances of that and then isolate the object from the view command (maybe would be properly renamed "Isolate selection"Winking. For exampleif you follow Families\Walls\Basic walls\Brick wall > select all the istances  you have a quick selection of all the objects that belong to the brick wall family type; go on the light bulb and select isolate object to have a "family filter" view.

Hope this help you a little bit.
