Just when you think you understand view range...it does the unexpected.

I'm trying to layout a framing plan on my first floor, but want to see where my foundation walls are. I've attached my view range with the resulting view behind it. The best I could get when tinkering with it, was to see the footings, but not the foundation walls. The foundation walls are wider than the stud walls on top, so I should be able to see them. My view settings have all walls and structual elements visible. Floors are turned off at the moment. Even with top of footing as an underlay and visibility set to wireframe, the best I could get was seeing the footings.

Any thoughts? A glitch, maybe? User error and misunderstanding?

And if you really want to get into it...why does the wall on the left of the building disappear when I change the view range, but the others don't? That has to be a glitch.

Hi, why don't you use the plan view of the foundations under the view of 1st floor? the "under layer" appears all grey out and doesn't print in the drawing sheets.

Hope this help you a little bit.
