Howdy, I have been working with linked files and am having trouble working with or controlling the displayed information in the different views. I have a group of buildings linked in the one file. Two buildings are double storey, two buildings are loft type houses. In the proposed level 2 view, the upper floor levels of the two storey buildings are clearly visible, but in the loft houses i get a strange level of display and detail which looks quite different from that of the original file. Also, in the elevation views how does one get rid of the level marks and notations which normally appear in the elevation views of the original files. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

1. Can't really comment on the first issue, would need an image or something. 2. You can turn off the level markers for the linked files on a per view basis, by going into your visibilty settings (VV), then clicking the link files tab finding the appropriate link file and deselecting levels... HTH.

thanks for that Mr. Spot i had changed my email a while ago and forgot to update it here, so didn't get an email alerting me to your reply. I will try that second suggestion, it sounds good to me.

sorry for the zombie post rez. but I want to do the above on displaying the levels marks. But when I go to revit links in the VV window, you say click the display settings button "by host view" get 4 new tabs and I assume you go to annotations and look up "levels"; but its all greyed out, so Im a little lost. help please.

Warc.
