I'm a Revit newbie and I was wondering (hoping) someone knows of a downloadable and editable family of pre-engineered metal buildings. Preferably one with a center column. Thanks

If you search this site under pre-engineered, you'll finda a couple of families. This site also has pre-engineered components. http://www.steelselect.com/resource_library/search.results.main.php?from=cad_library

That is not a rafter - It is a pre-engineered rigid frame and they are in the downloads.

Glad you found what you can use.
I think you need to talk to some Pre Engineered folks because what you posted is a rigid frame. That is why you have the moment joint at the column that shows in the image you posted. The rigid frame families are better suited for PE buildings rather than individual components like tapered beams.
