Hey, Just curious how to 'import' or 'apply' hatch patterns. So that I may go into my wall settings and apply a stone hatch to the masonry identity? I have downloaded a bunch of .pat stone files from this site now how do I use them? Also, is it possible to get this to save to Revit in general so that it will have these patterns to choose from for each project? If anybody has a great materials/patterns/etc library to share that would be awesome! Revits standards are not that good. Thanks Lorne

Open the revit.pat file and read it. It tells you all you need to know.

Great thanks. Does anyone have a good library they can share? I'm new from ArchiCAD and had a huge library. Now I have close to nothing. Any donations would be very helpful!! Thanks, Lorne

I NEED TO FIND A NEW, MORE EXTENSIVE .PAT FILE OR LEARN HOW TO CREATE MY OWN CUSTOM HATCH PATTERNS. THIS IS TOO FRUSTRATING. ALL I WANT IS AN EARTH PATTERN AT 45 DEG AND THE ABILITY TO MAKE CUSTOM GRID SIZES LIKE 3" X 6". I ALREADY KNOW HOW TO SCALE PATTERNS AS YOU IMPORT THEM (AND WOULD LIKE A FAIL SAFE METHOD OF IMPORTING TO EXACTLY THE RIGHT SCALE) BUT AM HAVE A LOT OF TROUBLE FINDING .PAT DOWNLOADS AND OR .PAT SOFTWARE. I HAVE AUTOCAD 2008. IS THERE A WAY TO USE IT TO CREATE NEW .PAT FILES? LET'S CLEAR THIS ISSUE UP ONCE AND FOR ALL. I DOWNLOADED A TRIAL VERSION OF SOME SOFTWARE FROM AUSTRALIA BUT AM NOT CONVINCED THAT IT WILL GIVE ME AN ACCURATE SCALE WHEN I WANT A 3" X 6" PATTERN EXACTLY. IT SEEMS TO IMPORT AT LEAST 10x TOO BIG.

You can create your own custom hatch patterns by using hatch22
You can find it here.
