I have a small problem trying to get the window grid to display on the elevation views. The grid will also refuse to print. It appears fine on the rendered image as the actual grid is there, but the glass panel seems to be blocking it for any other view I try.

In the window family, check the thickness of the mullions that are creating the grid.

It really depends on how the window is actually built. But I would guess that the mullions are in front of the glass, so construct it like the actual window.

well I didn't actually built the window, I just slightly modified it. I guess I'll try to move it to front of glass without destroying the entire family. (yes, I am working on a backed up copy) thanks for the help

The windows that we mostly deal with are double pane with the grid placed in between the 2 panels of glass (residential). Since I know of no way of actually accomplishing that in Revit at the moment (I'm a newb), moving the grid to front of glass did the trick.

I had a similar situation with a double paned window. What I did was to create symbolic lines in elevation view so that the grid would show up on details. Since symbolic lines only show up on views parallel to the view they were created in, this method worked out best for me. If you need these lines to show up every where you can use model lines.
